Elizabeth Smart is becoming married!
The family diminished to expose the identity of Smart’s fiance, saying she desires to keep her personal life confidential, but wedding registries reveal the couple will marry on July 1.
Elizabeth Smart was kidnapped from her Utah home at knifepoint in 2002, and held in captivity for nine months by Brian David Mitchell and his wife Wanda Barzee.
Mitchell was sentenced to life in prison after getting convicted of kidnapping and rape in May 2011, while Barzee is offering 15 years for kidnapping and unlawful transportation of a minor.
Elizabeth Smart began doing work as a contributor for ABC News last summer.
